2026 Event Calendar
Everything happening July 3rd and 4th in Ridgefield, Washington.
All events are free to attend unless otherwise noted. Children's wristbands are $5 for unlimited activities on July 4th. Custom souvenir shirts are available for $15.
Eve of Independence
Kick off the weekend with music, dancing, and community at Davis Park.
Street Dance & Beer Garden
Open the holiday weekend with live music, dancing, and a beer garden under the Ridgefield sky. Food vendors and kids activities round out the evening.

Independence Day
A full day of parades, festivities, and community celebration.
4th of July Fun Run
Check-in begins at 7:30 AM; the run starts at 8:00 AM. Open to all ages and abilities. Pets welcome on leashes!
- Start/End: Davis Park (337-441 N 3rd Ave)
- Route: Davis Park → south on 3rd → Pioneer → overpass to Ridgefield Waterfront → return
- Coffee and vendors available at 8:30 AM
Zumba at Davis Park
Get energized for the big day with a free Zumba class in Davis Park. Coffee and early vendors will be set up nearby.

Pet & Kids Pre-Parade
The adorable pre-parade for children and their leashed, tamed pets. Kids are encouraged to wear patriotic colors!
- Meet at: Corner of Pioneer and 3rd Avenue
- Route: East on Pioneer or north on 3rd Ave for 4 blocks
- Tamed animals must be on leash at all times
Grand Independence Day Parade
The centerpiece of Ridgefield's 4th of July: floats, bands, horses, antique vehicles, and community groups parading through downtown.
- Route: 4th Ave → west on Division → south on 3rd Ave → east on Pioneer to 8th Ave
- Theme: America 250!, honoring 250 years of independence
- Grand Marshals: Maureen O'Reilly & Chris Bidleman
- Judging begins at 9:30 AM; entries must be staged in Abrams Park
Festival, Vendors & Live Entertainment
The full festival runs all day along S. Main, Pioneer Street, and Overlook Park. Shop local vendors, enjoy live music, and soak in the community atmosphere.

Pie Eating Contest
A beloved festival tradition! Five age categories for kids 6–15. Sign up day-of at the souvenir booth in Overlook Park.

- Prizes awarded to winners
Fireworks Display
Cap off Independence Day with a dazzling public fireworks display over the Port of Ridgefield Marina, presented by the RFOJ Committee in partnership with the City of Ridgefield and Port of Ridgefield. Free to watch.

Parade Route Map

Road Closures on July 4th
Pioneer Street will be closed at Hillhurst for the parade. Recommended detour: North on Royle Road or Reiman Road to NW 289th Street, then south on Main Avenue.
